The Ocean and Coastal Resource Management and Mt. Pleasant staff met last week to discuss the latest developments for Shem Creek Park.

Dan Burger, Ocean and Coastal Resource Management spokesman said, “Once we receive an application and determine its administrative completeness, we will put it on public notice for 30 days.”

During that time, we can submit comments to them voicing our concerns. He said, “If we receive 20 requests for a public hearing and/or a request from a local elected official, DHEC will hold a public hearing.”
