Hi Matt. The Thunderstar - along with several shrimp boats - have had to leave Shem Creek because of fuel prices, and the small catches recently.

DNR officials say shrimp are out there, you just need to know where to catch them - a long tale for any fisherman indeed!

Here's a video of Thunderstar pulling out of Shem Creek for the last time this past October: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qejfeuhy1L8

For more info, check thunderstarfishing.com, but last time I checked, it was down, so G/L.

What happened to the Thunderstar? My son and I have been going deep sea fishing for years. Is there another Deep sea fishing boat in that area. What I have found is much to expensive for us, $400.00 for two hours. We were paying $75 each for all day.
