Charleston County Air Is Getting Dirtier
The EPA has determined that particulate matter in South Carolina’s air is rising which can cause harder breathing for those with certain ailments.
In that same story, the American Lung Association says Charleston County’s air is getting dirtier too, something we need to push our elected officials to take a look at immediately.
It wasn’t mentioned specifically, but anybody having traveled across the Mark Clark into N. Chas. during MeadWestvaco plant operations knows exactly what I’m talking about. The smell is horrendous, and it still amazes me that people live right under that stench right along Rhett Ave. in Hanahan.
