13′ Great White Shark On Shore
Officials aren’t sure what caused the great white shark to be washed up: it may have died of starvation, gotten sick or even lost – perhaps due to ships sonar – but we’ll probably never know.

DNR scientist Josh Loefer took this photo of the dead great white shark on Morris Island along with his fellow DNR scientist, Jon Geddings.

I did not know that there were sharks as big as 13′ in South Carolina. It could possebly make some afraid to swim. I’m not saying everyone will be, but most people swim in the water surounding Morris Island and could now be afraid
Hi Alex, sorry for the delay, I was out of town for Thanksgiving.
I hear ya on the swimming. Have you seen those aerial photos off Myrtle Beach?! I mean right off the beach! Next time you’re there, check out the short film they show in the Aquarium’s shark room – you may never go swimming there again!
Anyway, according to that Wiki article, they go all the way up the coast.
